Problems and struggles abound in life. We worry about things, we push at trying to make things work, we have burdens. Breakthroughs are when we get results at long last or things start to work out.
There are techniques for creating breakthroughs in our lives. One is so simple it is often overlooked. Start by acknowledging the breakdown. Acknowledge where you are stuck or not winning in some area. Tell it like it is to yourself.
So if you are feeling stale, like your life is in a rut or routine that is not very enlivening, that is a breakdown. But instead of blaming your significant other or your job, and instead of bitching and complaining at bars about your life, you can just acknowledge the breakdown.
When you acknowledge that something isn’t working, then you can focus on it more effectively. When you can admit problems rather than try to blame others or try to pretend everything is okay, you can set yourself up to be effective in dealing with them. Admitting you are in a rut and getting resigned about your life is a great start towards having a breakthrough and finding new passions.
So try this simple technique. Where in your life are you having breakdowns? Where financially? Socially? Spiritually?
Another way to create breakthroughs in life is to ask yourself this one simple but potent question: What shouldn’t be the way it is in my life? This questions will bottom line the issues and clarify any areas for potential breakthroughs.
Whenever you ask yourself that question, you will see some areas of breakdowns and clues for where breakthroughs can happen. We should talk more in our relationship. We should have more fun. If that’s what comes up, then you are in good shape.
Now that you have admitted what isn’t working, you are set to determine clearly what you want to do. You can ask for advice or get some coaching or figure out what the best course of action is. You can set yourself up for a breakthrough. There’s more ot all this, but don’t overlook the power of acknowledging breakdowns to yourself.
